Our Chakra Idly Dosa Batter is produced in fully automated facilities in New Zealand, ensuring a hands-free, hygienic process that meets the highest standards. What is Idly dosa ?

A beloved dish from the Indian subcontinent, Idly and Dosa have enjoyed immense popularity for over a thousand years, embodying the rich culinary heritage of India. You can find these dishes in every corner of India, with flavors that vary according to regional influences. They are a staple breakfast and dinner option, especially cherished in South India.

Our batter is crafted from the finest quality rice, urad dal, and methi seeds. These ingredients are carefully soaked, ground, and naturally fermented to perfection, ensuring an authentic and delicious taste every time.

Usage Instructions

Wash the jar, remove the cap, and bring to room temperature.
The batter is unsalted. Add the required amount of salt and stir well before use.
For Idly, just scoop the batter into idly plates and steam it for 10-12 minutes. Overcooking will make it hard.
For dosa, add some water to the batter. After the addition of water it cannot be used to make idlies.
Heat a pan and using a ladle spread it in evenly to make dosa.
For longer use, always close the jar tightly and refrigerate. It stays fresh in the refrigerator for over a week when stored at 5°C.
Range of Dishes

IDLY

Idly is a soft, steamed savory cake prepared using “Idly Plates.” It is cooked entirely without oil or direct contact with a heated surface, making it a healthy, light, and easily digestible choice. Not only is it a favorite among adults, but it is also a commonly recommended first meal for babies over 6 months old.

DOSA

Dosa is prepared on a hot pan, much like a French crepe. It turns out crispy and golden brown, offering a delicious flavor. Dosas can be served in various shapes and sizes, adding to their versatility.

UTTAPAM

Uttapam can we termed as spicy and crispy pan cake “A thicker dosa” which is topped with different types of veggies like onion, tomato, capsicum, carrot, green chilli, sweet corn etc. which makes it even more healthier and tastier. For better taste prepare it with the batter older than 4 days.

PANIYARAM

Paniyaram are ball shaped dumplings, which is crispy outside and soft inside. This can be made both sweet or spicy. For better taste prepare it with the batter older than 4 days.
